Charles Plumley (1875-1964) was born in Northfield on 14 April 1875. He was educated at Northfield High School and entered NU in 1892. He graduated with the NU Class of 1896 with a BA degree. Plumley served as principal of Northfield High School from 1896 to1900. He resigned to study law and was admitted to the Vermont Bar in 1903.
